Angeles City located within the province of Pampanga gets classified as a class I city in Philippines. It is a first-rate, highly-urbanized city that is administered autonomously from Pampanga. The city experiences two distinct seasons - the dry season from November to April and a wet season from May to October. It is served by Diosdado Macapagal International Airport.

The city was home to the largest United States military facility outside of continental United States. The base has long since pulled out in the wake of the eruption of Mount Pinatubo in 1991. Angeles City gets dubbed as the entertainment capital of Central Luzon, and is well known as a culinary center of the Province.

Angeles University Foundation was started as a non-stock, non-profit educational institution in 1962. Today the University has the highest percentage of faculty with graduate degrees in the region, and among the highest in the Philippines. The University oversees all non-academic endeavors of students on and off-campus and enforces due discipline and decorum among the students.

The University provides quality education and research. Currently in its 48th year of operation the University offers a total of 63 academic programs supported by state of-the-art equipment and facilities aimed at addressing the growing needs of the global academic community.
