The Annual Moriones Festival is held in Boac and surrounding areas of Marinduque Island during the Lenten season. This holy celebration is famed to be one of the most colorful festivities in Marinduque and the Philippines. Marinduque State College is the dominant and the only state college in the province with courses accredited by CHED and TESDA. Its main campus is situated in Brgy. Tanza, Boac and there are satellite campuses in other different counties of the province. Courses on offer include Education, Technology, Engineering, Environment, Fisheries, Culture, Arts and Sciences.
The main campus is located at Boac with three other branches located at Sta. Cruz, Torrijos and Gasan.
