Cebu Normal University (CNU) is one of the oldest educational institutions in Cebu having been established in 191llege in 1976 and a university in 1998.

Having three campuses, the main campus is located in Osmeña Boulevard in Cebu City and two extension campuses are in Medellin and Balamban. The 1980s and 90s saw rapid increase in admissions and infrastructure. The new buildings were added to house the College of Teacher Education, College of Arts and Sciences and the College of Nursing.

CNU offers a number of educational programs to the students. The Baccalaureate Programs of CNU includes Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Secondary Education, Bachelor of Elementary Education and Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Also there is the Integrated Laboratory School and Graduate School.   
Academic programs include Doctoral Programs in Education and Public Administration. Special Programs include Certificate in Professional Education for Teachers and Caregiver Training Course. Masteral Programs in Arts, Nursing, Public Administration and Master of Science in Library and Information Science are available.
