College of Saint Benilde is a private Catholic college located in the Malate district of Manila. The main campus is located on Taft Avenue, with two campuses located at Pablo Ocampo Street and Arellano Avenue. The college is a member institution of De La Salle Philippines, a network of seventeen schools under the De La Salle Brothers Philippine District.
Established in 1980, the college started off as a night school for working students at De La Salle University. In 1988, it was renamed as the De La Salle University-College of Saint Benilde, after Saint Bénilde Romançon, a priest. In 1994, the college became autonomous and in 2004, along with a restated vision and mission was renamed doing away with the University from its name and became De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde.
The college uses learner-centered instruction to offer degree and non-degree programs designed for the development of professionals in the arts, design, management, service industries, and computer applications in business, and special fields in study. It is the first college in Philippines to offer degrees in animation, consular and diplomatic affairs, digital filmmaking, export management, fashion design and merchandising, multimedia arts, music production, and photography.
