Far Eastern University (FEU) located in West Sampaloc in Manila is in the University Belt area. This nonsectarian, private university was created by the merger of Far Eastern College and the Institute of Accounts, Business and Finance and became a University in 1934.
Emerging as a leading university in the Philippines, it has the ISO certification and offers programs in the fields of architecture, fine arts, liberal arts, sciences, commerce, education, graduate research, engineering and technology, law, nursing and medicine. The University is committed to the highest intellectual, moral and cultural standards for students to strive to become principled and competent graduates.
FEU's campus is noted for a number of historical buildings preserved from the first half of the 20th century and bestowed with UNESCO Heritage award for having the largest ensemble of preserved art deco buildings in the country. These include the Nicanor Reyes Hall, FEU East Asia College of Engineering and Computer Studies, Law and Nursing Building, Auditorium/Administration Building and the Science Building.
The University nurtures a service-oriented and environment-conscious community. FEU has maintained its respectable place among the top accountancy, architecture, law, and medicine schools in the Philippines. Its students are among the most decorated in regional, national and international competitions.
