FEATI, acronym for Far Eastern Air Transport Incorporated was an airline company, and its name was taken on by the University established in 1946 to teach aeronautics, engineering and technology. It is a private, non-sectarian, co-educational higher education institution, located in Santa Cruz, Manila.
Feati University was set up by Dr. Salvador Araneta with his wife Dr. Victoria Lopez de Araneta after they closed down their Airline in the Philippines. The couple’s shared vision paved the way for establishing an institution that was to focus on aeronautics, technology and the sciences.
Thirteen years after establishment the school earned university status granted by the Department of Education when Dr. Victoria Lopez de Araneta became its first president. The University offers undergraduate and graduate programs. There are six colleges with varied courses of offer like engineering, maritime education, architecture, fine arts, business and arts and sciences.
The school also offers short-term courses such as Diploma in Electrical Technology, Certificate in Electronics Computer Technician, Associate in Computer Technology, Certificate in Computer Technology, Computer Secretarial and Fitter Machinist courses.
