Bacolod City West Negros College was established in 1948 by three Baptist women leaders naming - Teresa Padilla, Rosario Remitio and Luciana Aritao. It was initially operated with 710 students and 33 faculty as a sectarian educational institution in an old rented Valentine Memorial Hall at corner Rosario and San Juan Streets, where the college used to provide six undergraduate programs. But today, it has expanded its roots widely and has an admission of about 10,000 students per semester and graduates 1,f their requirements.
The college is full of facilities including all department and administrative offices, laboratories, clinic, library, and classrooms. Besides, exclusive education the college also organizes extra-curricular and sports activities, convocations, cultural presentations and graduation activities, which indeed enrich the system of the college.
